All About Words to Wellbeing.

My name is Selina and I am the founder of Words to Wellbeing. My background within mental health consists of working within the National Health Service (NHS) for 16 years and within the private sector.

During my 14 years within mental health, I have worked within: an Eating Disorder inpatient ward, I worked within the community as a mental health support worker and then worked as a Psychological Well Being Practitioner (PWP) delivering Low Intensity CBT.

I currently work as a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and qualified Supervisor, delivering High Intensity CBT and supervision for therapists. My IAPT supervision qualification allow me to facilitate supervision for assistant PWP’s, trainee and qualified PWP;s, as well as trainee and qualified CBT therapists.

Whilst working within the NHS I have been appointed as a Staff Governor completing a 2 year term.

Making a difference is important to me and so throughout my career I have volunteered within the NHS as: an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion champion, as a Ethnically and Culturally Diverse Champion, and as a Recruitment Champion.

Mentoring and being a buddy to my peers has been a role that has enabled me to provide support and encouragement when needed to those around me.
